"I Took the One Less Traveled By..."
Well, opening day is here. After roughly a year of developing, planning and lots of dreaming, our idea of Squatch Watch Gear is a tangible product now. The journey has been long but in the end worth it. We four guys have had a blast on this new adventure together, doing things we have never done before or probably never thought we would ever do.
And this journey has been more than just making t-shirts. It has been one of adventure, friendship and camaraderie. And we hope to convey that to you through our designs. Our goal is to inspire you to cut through the technological weeds of daily life and get out, explore and to experience life with your family and friends untethered. We understand that this is hard to do, though. With families, jobs and other responsibilities it can be hard to just see your own bed at a decent hour, much less to escape your routine and venture out into the great unknown.
Through our clothing designs, blogs and other content we'll share through this website, we hope to encourage and inspire you to search for those moments where you can slip away and discover something new. This entire experience has reminded me of my eighth grade English class in which I was required to remember a poem. I chose "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. The poem describes two roads through a forest: one heavily worn by much travel; another overgrown and seldom traveled. The poem closes in this:
"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
Our hope is that you join us on this journey, one that is full of adventure and unexplored terrain and that allows you to sigh at the remembrance before indulging an audience with a epic tail of your travels. Come blaze a new trail with us and take the road less traveled by.
