Possible Arkansas Bigfoot Encounter
In May 2015, members of Squatch Watch Gear and their friends were invited to investigate an area North of Van Buren, Arkansas for possible Bigfoot activity. Reports had come in that a creature had been spotted, footprints had been found and strange sounds had been heard in the area. We were intrigued and excited to investigate the area. Our investigation took place around two different locations along a long, winding creek. Our first stop included hiking up a short hill and bluff that overlooked the creek and small valley. We broke up into two groups along a trail and for...
Possibly The Coolest Outdoor Vehicle Ever!
I was looking around on Outside magazine's website the other day and spotted this video about the Earth Cruiser FX. It seems this vehicle, if you have the cash to buy it, should be on a small list of options to consider if you are planning on never seeing your home again as you travel the country, are living in a Sasquatch habituation area or the zombie apocalypse has occurred. Take a peak at Outside's video and let us know what you think about the Earth Cruiser FX.
Journey to the Half - Week 2
The week began with a Blood Moon run and ended in an “I don’t want to run” run. I won’t lie to you: this week was difficult. It wasn’t difficult for physical reasons. Training was beginning to have a psychological impact on me. It all started Sunday evening (during the Blood Moon) with a medium range run at a slow pace. After I finished the run I posted to my Google Plus account (+Randall Latham) “Hardest run to date. I didn’t want to start and I didn’t want to finish… but I did!” To be fair, being able to view...
Journey to the Half - Week 1
Week 1 of my half marathon training is complete. If you don't remember, I signed up earlier this week to participate in a Star Wars themed runDisney half marathon in Disney World in April 2016. It was a fairly uneventful week until tonight. Today was my long run day, in which I needed to run 5 miles. I finally got around to doing so around 10:00 PM tonight. I used to think of long runs as a huge time wasting time sink. This thought made me hate them. I still dislike them, due to the time commitment, but I see...
Journey to the Half
I did something late last night I swore I would never do again. I signed up for a half marathon. This is not my first half. It will be my third. The reason for my swearing off of half marathons was because of my second. After little time to train, I went into it unprepared. I finished the last 3.1 miles in pain and agony due to major cramping and pain in my legs and feet. All this because I simply didn't have the time to train. It was for this reason I swore off half marathons or anything longer....
